According to a Yahoo statement reporting by Peter Henderson, a pair of autonomous buses began driving around an empty San Francisco bay parking lot, preparing to move onto a local public road in California's first pilot program for a self-driving vehicle without steering wheel or human operator. The shuttle buses will test for a few months in the parking lots before operators apply for Department of Motor Vehicles approval under the new law.
The vehicles are expected to swing onto the local street late this year or early in 2018. Precisely this statement has raised residents' comments which comprising pros and cons. This autonomous buses seen to cause joblessness in future. In this 21st century, human being innovative, objects give conveniences were invented but, on the contrary, they deemed physically replacement with labor.
Innovations caused joblessness, this statement is debatable. Formerly people was living without high technology products, and gradually those high technology products were invented and had occupied within our daily living. From the other opinion, we think new products invented was not meant to replace with something old, but they were just for our conveniences. As even when the photograph function invented to be using with smartphone but marketplace of camera products is still never been affected; When motorcycle invented to make easy for transportation but bicycle will still required for some other purposes. But still, when email invented to enhance our conversation path, the handwriting letter is almost eliminated.
The autonomous buses deem slightly risky more to ride, in case of an emergency, it might be more difficult to lead to a safe road direction or to dodge between the dangerous objects since without human operator. As if any accident happened, it might cost more for the loss. Generally, we are more carefully and able to control our steering wheel while driving, we will perceive the traffic condition to drive safe in order to prevent traffic accident.
